Sierra Pacific has joined with other private landowners across North America in voluntarily adopting the standards set by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program We have developed a one hundred year plan for managing our forests to provide the wood products consumers rely on while maintaining fish and wildlife habitat, soil stability and water quality.

Our commitment to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative means we:

• Demonstrate a stewardship ethic on forests that we own.
• Promptly reforest harvested acres.
• Protect water quality and prevent soil erosion.
• Conserve wildlife and fish habitat.
• Maintain and enhance species biodiversity.
• Are sensitive to the aesthetics of harvesting.
• Protect important cultural, historical, and ecological sites.
• Improve utilization and reduce waste.

We have completed an independent, third-party audit of our forest management and wood procurement practices under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative guidelines.
