The NFRC, National Fenestration Rating Council is a nonprofit public/private collaboration of manufacturers, builders, designers, specifiers, code officials, consumers, utilities and regulators who establish a national energy performance rating system for window performance. When you choose a Sierra Pacific Windows, rest assured you are choosing a window that has a standard U factor. This important rating allows the consumer to accurately compare a Sierra Pacific windows in the industry. You might wonder what type of commitment it takes to receive the NFRC industry standard rating. Sierra Pacific has successfully complied with the specified test to determine the U factor of our windows. The lower the U factor, the better the energy efficiency. Sierra Pacific encourages you to shop and compare U factors on your window choices. Using the U factor for your guide, you can make better choices for the window design and location in your home. NFRC Labeling: All certified Sierra Pacific Windows and Doors are shipped with both a temporary and permanent label affixed to the glass. The temporary label is intended to remain on the unit through the construction process and provides the consumers, builders and code officials with energy performance ratings in a comparable, easy-to-read format. The label shows the product is NFRC-certified, provides a brief product description, and shows the pertinent thermal performance values. The permanent label allows for manufacturer identification and performance tracking for the life of the product. General Notes:
