Sierra Pacific Windows takes great pride in it's commitment to achieving and/or exceeding certain quality control certifications and recommendations of the various window and door compliance agencies. Sierra Pacific Windows holds the NFRC rating and is NFRC certified. Sierra Pacific Windows is also a member of WDMA, AAMA, and the Energy Star Program as well as being in compliance with ASTM testing standards for quality and energy efficiency. Sierra Pacific Windows has achieved certification in all important window and door standards. Sierra Pacific Windows door and window designs have been tested to determine compliance with certain WDMA/AAMA, ASTM and NFRC industry standards as set forth more fully herein. All performance testing is conducted under controlled, laboratory conditions on a limited number of single units. Not every available configuration or size of a particular window or door type is tested. Sierra Pacific Windows makes no representations or claims of compliance with WDMA, AAMA and NFRC standards for factory or field mulled multi-unit assemblies. Actual performance of installed windows and doors, whether mulled or single units is dependent upon proper installation practices over which Sierra Pacific has no control. In addition, extreme or unusual weather conditions or exposure, non-standard installation or glazing methods, or use of non-standard glazing units or materials may likewise affect window performance characteristics. As a consequence, Sierra Pacific makes no performance claims or representation with respect to its window or door products other than the specific performance standards referenced herein when tested in accordance with applicable industry standards. It is the design professional's and/or consumer's responsibility to determine and specify the appropriate design and performance requirements for any given window or door installation. Unusual conditions of extreme exposure, nonstandard installation or glazing methods or materials, not specifically covered must be approved by Sierra Pacific Windows to assure adequate product performance and compliance with basic safety standards. Unusual Conditions Any window and door, regardless of the type of material or manufacturer, installed near salt water, encounters more severe weathering than in other typical locations. In addition to normal protection, they should receive protection that is standard and customary in such coastal locations at the time of installation, and periodic inspection and maintenance as necessary thereafter. Severe chemical exposure in locations near chemical plants, indoor swimming pools, and some types of industrial complexes may adversely affect Sierra Pacific Windows products, and may substantially increase maintenance requirements. Decisions regarding the use of Sierra Pacific Windows products in such areas should be based upon local experience and customer awareness. Sierra Pacific Windows products are designed to perform in cold climate areas but condensation or ice may form on interior glass surfaces at low temperatures. Such condensation or icing conditions will primarily depend upon the amount of humidity within the room in which the products are exposed. Severe wind and rain may produce temporary conditions that exceed product performance standards. No claims are made beyond compliance with the product performance levels indicated for each product listed in this section. All Sierra Pacific Windows products must be installed according to the Sierra Pacific's standard installation instructions and/or approved shop drawings. No Sierra Pacific Window products are to be installed at any angle other than vertical, unless specifically approved by Sierra Pacific Windows. Any glass or hardware replacements must be of equal specifications. Glass installation in areas subject to human impact must be safety-glazed per the Safety Standard for Architectural Glazing Materials (16 CFR 1201), issued by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, or as prescribed by local codes. NOTE: Sierra Pacific Windows reserves the right to change specifications without notice
